If, to you, VFP is not a developer application then why do you use it? It's contradictory on your part to use something that is not useful for you (Perhaps you should use Clipper that does what you want on this specific subject ;) ). On the other hand VFP is as is, so, if you think VFP should be changed on that subject wait for next version and hope that feature is added to VFP. Meanwhile you should code trying to prevent VFP from showing the open dialog.
