>Irish is part of the celtic group of languages that include manx, scottish, welsh etc. both english and irish are official languages in ireland but only a small minority are native irish speakers even though it is thought at all levels in our schools.

Thanks for the information.

Just in case you are interested, here in Bolivia we have several languages too, from various indigenous groups. The main languages (apart from the official language, Spanish) are Quechua (language of the Inca empire), Aymara (language of the Tiwanaku (Tiahuanaco) culture, and Guaraní (in Paraguay, this is the second official language).

These languages are completely different amongst themselves, but in the form the are currently spoken, they are of course quite intermingled with Spanish.

>>Yes, I would like to switch to the latest version, but the problems I had seem more related to a problem in the OS installation than specifically with Opera. Oh, well, perhaps I will try the latest version - I had tried with version 7.11, but perhaps version 7.23 resolves those issues.

>>Excuse my ignorance, but do the Irish have a separate language? I had imagined them to speak English.
