It says that he's not doing adequate regression test of the code. It does not say he's not using proper coding techniques. A more complete test would have found the error before an enduser would have seen it.

The points raised by Craig and George I think are very valid points of view. I happen to agree with them. They were certainly meant as constructive help. I think the "arguing" that happened in the thread clouds over good things that are in here.

If you have not read Code Complete, you really should. I can pretty much guarantee that you will be a better programmer for having read it. I know that I am.
