Thanks Lisa,

That makes sense, and I don't think I would ever set anything but single space in a "REPORT", in this case somehow, all the report elements were set to double space and when I changed multiple simple elements
Datafld
Datafld
DataFld
Datafld
to a compound element
Datafld;Datafld;Datafld;Datafld)
The element was extending beyond the desired limit. At first I thought that I could rememdy the problem by simply changing the vertical spacing to Single, but alas, it was not available. Hence, I hacked the report and fixed it through the backdoor. But because the field was originally set at Double space, I could not help but wonder what was up.

Thanks

Glenn

Single, 1.5, and Double spacing (on the text alignment menu) works only for Labels. They will be greyed out if you try it on an Expression.

>(This has nothing to do with your resource file, btw, and is nothing you'll find different in VFP versus 8, etc.)
