Diane,
WinFax is published by Symantec, the same people that make Norton AntiVirus.
In the US you can buy it at places like Office Depot, Staples, Circuit City, etc. On the other hand you can use the MS Fax API. The one thing I have not been able to do with the Microsoft API is find a way to confirm the fax went through. (I have to admit I have not spent a lot of time trying.) If I were to start over today I would go with the MS API. The last version of WinFax had problems (ver 10.02 I think) Version 10 was ok but then Win XP screwed things up and they came out with the xxx2 version and it had real bugs but only on certain PCs. There is a new version out now that I have not heard much about so I assume it works. (There’s that word again.) If you are using FoxPro and want to get it up and running with little work I would suggest going with WinFax. The demo program should have all you need.

One word of caution. After you install WinFax be sure to send at least one fax through it using just WinFax before you try using the SDK. Otherwise the SDK stuff will not work.
John.

Today I spent the whole day reading and trying to figure out what's in this cd regarding WinFax. There is a lot of information about winfax.dll and faxcom.dll but all their examples are in C++ or Visual Basic and very confusing. I cannot make it work in VFP. Does anybody knows if it's feasable to use MS "faxing" tools or is it a desperate task?
