One other thing that I just thought of, is your login page hosted at a URL that is different from the FORM POST or where you are redirecting to after your login?

For example:
http://www.mywebsite.com/login.html

When you click submit, are you going to: http:/www.alpha.com/wconnect/wc.dll?something~CheckLogin

Which is successful, redirects to URL: http://www.alpha.com/nextpage.html ?

If so, check that there isn't a security icon in the bottom of the browser denying your client this

The "main framed" web page - the adress of which you see in the browser is hosted at site Alpha and that is how the URL at the top of page remains the same. The "active" web pages are contained within the framed web page, and therefore you should encounter any problems
