One other thing that I just thought of, is your login page hosted at a URL that is different from the FORM POST or where you are redirecting to after your login?
For example:
http://www.mywebsite.com/login.htmlWhen you click submit, are you going to: http:/www.alpha.com/wconnect/wc.dll?something~CheckLogin
Which is successful, redirects to URL:
http://www.alpha.com/nextpage.html ?
If so, check that there isn't a security icon in the bottom of the browser denying your client this
