>We are experiencing an increasing number of problems with our 2.6 Windows based application that uses a great deal of DDE commands to talk and work with MS Word. It has been suggested that we try and convert our commands to OLE syntax. However, this does not appear to be an option (e.g., CREATEOBJECT() does not work). Are there any alternatives to getting our application to utilize OLE commands?
You might create a separate VFPx app to do the OLE work. This could be called from within the 2.6 app via RUN etc.
The problem would be communicating with the VFP app. One approach might be for the 2.6 app to create a table with a list of OLE commands, which the VFP app would process after instantiation.
