Among other outright stupid tricks it required for regular work, the way to add merge modules to ISLE for VFP7 was the best.

You have to find the msm files for VFP8 and copy them to the two directories ISLE/VFP7 uses. One of the directories is in common files, the other is below the location where it's installed (the ISLE). Look for what modules for vfp7 are there, and, well, find their VFP8 counterparts.

Then launch it and tell it to use these modules. Don't try drag/drop or any other technique, tried them all. Just copy before you launch it.
