Hi Alex,

I'm having exactly the same problem with InstallSHI*, but I just found the solution to the msxml3 problem:

The file to download is currently at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C0F86022-2D4C-4162-8FB8-66BFC12F32B0&displaylang=en

If you can't get there by the time you read this message, go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/xml/default.asp and navigate from there to the xml downloads page with the latest msxml3 service pack (currently 4).

The file to download is msxml3msms.EXE. This file contains 3 merge modules.

Create a temp directory for it, run it there, and copy the three resulting files to modules/i386 directory under your installShield installation directory.

Then, in InstallSHI*, you want to make sure that the following merge modules are checked:

MSXML 3.0
Msxml3 Exception INF Merge Module
WebData std library
XML 3.0

The above, is in addition to the ones that vfp8 apps require, which I THINK are:

Microsoft Visual C++ 7.0 Runtime
Microsoft Visual FoxPro 8 Runtime Libraries
XML 4.0 <-- not sure this last one is required, but I have it checked and things are working.

The above set up has worked for me at last!

Hope this will be helpful to someone in the future!

Alex
