Since you're not changing the length of the path, this should work. However, I strongly recommend doing a backup first. Also, since you have an absolute path rather than a relative one (which I usually recommend against), you'll need to change the backlink in the table header. To do that, open the table exclusively, and if it asks you to locate the DBC, do so.
