I have been a 49'er fan since the late 1940's, and the Giants since 1958. The Giants got rid of our AAA team - the Seals! Bring back the Seals!

You know how we San Franciscan's view Oakland. Would you believe that during the last few seasons I have actually rooted for the Oakland Raiders and Athletics?

As for Los Angeles, I could care less what any of their teams do. They seem to have lost the Rams. Oh well, with professional sports it is about the money and to heck with the fans and loyalty.

Some day I fully expect the 49'ers to move to Alabama or some such place. By then people will have forgotten how they got their name and could care less. :)

But I like Stanford almost as much, due to friends attending, and I worked in SF a long time ("proximity" cheering), also. Plus, it's good to have "rooting options."
