Gestionnaire de rapports & Rapports
Hi, Craig
I believe that VFP9 will be backward compatibile and that is the reason why I wanted to have PDF output option included in VFP box. My trust in future additional applications made by 3-party is very limited - this is based on my expierience while evaluating tools that render VFP reports definition (not simple) to make PDF output. Maybe the Ken mentioned hooks will help made such add-on. But today I have no warranty that such products will exist and that they will make proper PDF output for my reports.

>One of the design goals for VFP 9 is to be backwards compatible with the current reporting mechanism. That doesn't mean that you won't have to retest them. There could be sublties in your reports that got missed in testing.

>>I stay with my opinion that it would be great if VFP9 had such feature included in the box. I could wait for VFP9 to get it.
>>But I can not wait for additional product that will be released a half a year or maybe a year since VFP9 release date or maybe will not be released. I think that a way with buying a good royalty free PDF printer driver is a way for me. The way seems to be easiest to implement. Price is important but it is not as important as time wasted for testing again already produced frx's. I would prefer paying more for VFP9 and have such possibility. It would be better for me.

>>BTW. Your efforts as regard as VFP marketing are visible on polish Microsoft site. VFP8 is mentioned on the top of developer products information page. Thanks for this.
