Hi Hilmar. I have tested this. Installed VFP8 SP1 on a machine. Re-compiled the exe. Copied exe to another machine. Ran the exe no problem at all. Obviously if I change the program to use anthing in SP1 not found / supported in previous VFP8 then I would have a problem. Also, one needs to test this but I was faced with the same problem - I wanted the design time fixes that SP1 had but could not handle, at that moment in time, updating 3000+ sites with the new dll's. So, bottom line, Roy should try it and test it out. User beware :)
