About several years ago, I bought the e-book version of your book on Office Automation. At the time I didn't have an immediate need for it, having already ascended much of the learning curve of generating XLS/DOC/PPT output. I figured I might need the book someday, and that someday recently came.
I'm finishing up a project where I had to generate some pretty sophisticated output in MS Word as part of a contract management application. The material in your book was extremely valuable in helping me solve some pretty tricky challenges. There is a ton of good tidbits in this book. I suppose a good subtitle might be 'Hacker's Guide to Generating office output'!
While the VBA macro recorder is a tried-and-true method to see what commands are needed to accomplish certain tasks, your book helped me at least a dozen times with various challenges, such as sections and page numbering. (And several posts by Sergey on this forum also helped). I might not have completed the work on the project had it not been for all of this. So...thank you!
