If you are the Brian McCord I know, in TN, call me and I will go through the strategy I used. I will be back in town on the 13th if you miss me before Friday.
You also have to be really careful - the other person who responded is right about the character type returns to cboXX.Value. And if you have a list with keys...
Say xx_key 1,2,3,5,6 are the values in the first column. Because record 4 has been deleted. The combo box will return a value of "4" instead of "5" and "5" instead of 6. I use a special class of combo boxes for returning key values because of this, since you often want the value to be bound to a numeric key value in another table. On a grid it is a little bit trickier, but I have it working right on a couple screens and I can show you how. Talk to you soon.
