I am using merge replication and have encountered an error with the merge agent.

When I try to start or stop the merge agent, I get the error message "Error 14262: The specified @job_id("1BF3B66A-3C20-4258-9668-A7B70E64BDF9") does not exist." - The same message occurs when I try re-initalize the publication.

Short of deleting and then redefining the publication, what else might I try in order to get the merge agent running again?
