Dragan,
Good catch, VFP8SP1 is doing this for me here if:
modi comm test.txt && initially comes up black text on white
rightclick, select properties, check on syntax coloring, window switches to my code format window
close the window
modi file test.txt && comes up with syntax coloring
So Steve, you have to follow Dragan's advice and delete any rows in foxuser.dbf for files that you had MODI COMM'd before with syntax coloring on.
>If he first opened it with Modi comm, its session properties (or whatever we may call them) were stored for that file in foxuser, so no matter how he opens it later, it will be set as it first was.

>Need to find the record with the settings for that file in foxuser and delete it. Packing the table also wouldn't hurt.

>Maybe this is not the same way today - I've seen it in previous versions quite often.
