I have an excel WS that I need to select text from within what VB calls a shape.

The sheet contains calculations for a quote which I can copy but also contains what I had always previously refered to as a textbox.

I need to copy the text from the shape along with some calculations and then create a word doc quote.

The macro path results in the following selection code which i have been unable to find a functioning translation of along with the correct following line val=object.value (too many versions to repeat):

ActiveSheet.Shapes("Text Box 3").Select

could you point me toward a resource that I can read(Ive looked everywhere I can think of) or pass along a set of vfp6 code that will access a shape containing text.
