SET RANT OFF

*.. proceed with rant

SET RANT &lcRant

or

llRant = upper(set("rant"))='ON'

SET RANT OFF

*.. proceed with rant

if llRant
  set rant on
endif

There's nothing worse than setting rant off by mistake ;-)
