There is some code somewhere in the inheritance tree that is causing this to happen. VFP easily handles two to three times the inheritance depth you have. You can actually create class hierarchies that are several hundred layers deep.
You are going to have to dig through the code to find what is at the root of the problem.

I think this is having big overhead when loading the form and so VFP is unable to refresh this form. A forced refresh due to Alt-Tab or Minimise/Maximise makes it refresh the form correctly.
