Actually it is not easier. Just the same, if you put it inside a general field. But then you have the same problems mentioned, mainly file bloat. Try to put a few decent sized pictures in MS-Access and see what happens to the size of your MDB.

The best solution is the one offered, to keep files in a folder and put references to them in a table (char field).

If you have to distribute an app with some pictures and do not want to package them separately, an alternative solution is to convert them to text into a regular text Memo field with FileToStr() and unpackage them at runtime with StrToFIle().
