When I start the form the fields populate okay but when I try to click in one of the text boxes I get an error that Alias 'myTable' is not found.

It sounds like you are doing something that is closing the table. Are you manually opening a table without using the IN 0 clause? That would close the table in the currently selected work area before openning the new table.
