It may sometimes be an issue if you have only "one client" for x amount of time; the line between "employee" and "contractor" starts to blurr in the government's eyes.

The best thing to do is: insure you have a solid contract (ie. "no employer/employee relationship" spelled out), and try to get a few extra / different clients / side jobs now and then.
