Sure, you can get used to the noise, but when you remove it.. :)
It kind of reminds me the Russian saying:

"- If you want to be happy - get a goat.

- Not the goat, but when you get rid of it..."

Quiet case has a low-noise power supply unit, and the additional case fan has the large diameter and low RPMs. The sound of working hard drive(s) is muffled by the rubber bushings. And the good thing is that it does not really cost more than a standard one. I bought mine with PSU for $142 CDN which is about $100 US.

When developing in VFP I typically move the docked Command/Datasession/Properties/Document View windows to the second monitor, leaving the form and code windows on the main one.
