Hi,
The KB Article states

STATUS
This bug was corrected in Microsoft Visual FoxPro 8.0.

Kapil will need a work around until he can upgrade to VFP 8.0, and we all know that can take quite a few weeks.

Regards N Mc Donald

>It is also worth mentioning that VFP8 traps this situation, rather than allow continued processing.

>>Hi,
>> The file is corrupted, i.e. the file size in the header does not equal the actual file size, this is a documented bug. It is usually a couple of extra characters on the end of the file, just append blank then pack and reindex.
>> It causes the transaction tracking to fail. See link http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;293638&Product=vfp6

>>>Hi,
>>> I am working with VFP6 SP5 and am facing very peculiar problem. I have an import module that imports data from VFP free tables into my database tables most of the times that the data comes across fine but sometimes VFP loses data. I am importing within a transaction using APPEND FROM stmts.
>>>The problem is random in nature and cannot be easily reproduced and comes to fore only after some report or other does not bring up the expected data. On inspecting I have found that some fields do not contain the values as ones in the incoming tables.
>>>Has anyone encountered problems of this nature?
>>>
>>>All/any help is greatly appreciated...
>>>Thanks in advance,
>>>Kapil.
