I've just had to go down that horrible route and after a lot of effort I did manage to get some of the Kodak Imaging controls to run on an XP machine, but then I discovered that they gave an error on the JPG files our client wanted to use!

I've just now stripped it all out and purchased an OCX from Viscom software (USD 60) - this all seems to work well (except for developing on NT in VF5!) so check out their website www.viscomsoft.com.
