As it turns out Visual CE has their own ODBC Driver downloadable from their website and, Terry you are right, it needed to be pointed to the folder, not the DBC or DBF.

To all of you who helped me with this Pocket PC project thank you very much. Your time and helpfulness has been heartwarming. I made a decision to go with Visual CE by Syware. Although I had some kind of problem with every solution I tested, I found Syware’s tech support to be the most responsive and I had my problems resolved by the next business day. I took 2 hours to go through the tutorials and 2 hours to develop my app. My client was impressed. I owe most of this to you!
