When I create a new site and put my code there it runs like a dog, very slow from the root. If I take the same code, create a folder under the root and run it from there it runs fine. The time it takes to display pages in the root is 2-5 seconds or so, and when you press the back button it takes as long. From the folder it takes less than a second or so and pressing the back key displays the page instantly. Any ideas or suggestion? TIA


Are you making sure to clear your cache on your client browser? I mean, I don't think which directory the application is in should make a difference. The 1st time the application runs, it has to compile into memory, and therefore will run faster the 2nd time. I've never noticed a problem running inside of root, as opposed to other.
