There have been previous messages on this forum regarding setting _asciirows (and the sister column) for cases when sending report format to an ASCII file. There seemed to be a consensus of setting _ASCIIROWS = m.Detail_Count+1.

One of our clients used trial and error to determine the correct settings of these values to achieve the desired results, and have been using these successfully under VFP6. Now as they convert to VFP8, we are discovering that these variables need to be set to new values.

Does anyone know what changed in this regard between VFP6 and VFP8 and if there are any suggested algorithms?
