I gave that a try, and I have tried several more experiments, and it seems that the trigger is not even firing!
I put an Instead Of Insert Trigger that just printed out a message, or in other words, no insert should ever be attempted, just a message print. Yet I was allowed to insert data into the view, as long as I just put it into the parent table! When I tried to put data into a dependant table I got more errors.
I have to move on. This seems like a major SQL bug, and since I have the stored Proc, I can't spend any more time on it.
I do thank everyone for thier help and comments!! :)

Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.
