Hi Martha.

>I've run into files I don't recognize. I know there's data in there somewhere, I just don't know how to get at it. Best I can tell these are Btrieve files (DDF's). Is there a way to pull this info into a Fox compatible format? If so, can you point me in the right direction?

Those are Pervasive (the new name for Btrieve) data dictionary files. FILES.DDF contains a list of the files in the "database" and FIELDS.DDF contains a list of the the fields.

There are a couple of ways you can use Pervasive data in VFP. One is to use the Pervasive ODBC driver. The other is to use a 3rd party utility called DBFtrieve, available from www.hallogram.com. The ODBC driver isn't as fast as DBFtrieve, but is way easier to use, as DBFtrieve requires quite a bit of coding on your part.
