Let's face it, George, your BIG problem here is that you don't like the way FabioL comports himself here on UT and you've taken it upon yourself, in concert with a few others, to "put him in his place". So you've dredged up UNRELATED reasoning actually aimed at calling FabioL a person who is in well above his head and a developer of poor quality programs. (yours may be perfect but at this point all we have is your word for that)

You're in no position to tell me what is and isn't my problem. Frankly, you don't know. The reasoning isn't unrelated as you contend. What I did was suggest that better practices would be a reasonable workaround.

What I did was to suggest to Fabio and any others that read the thread so that they could be more productive, produce higher quality software, and would be, at the same time, be easier to maintain.

Whats ironic is that you pulled EXACTLY THE SAME STUNT with me as regards the VFP7 SP1 "bloated index" issue. I called it a bug and you argued that it was not. You ridiculed my 'relying on an undocumented feature' and had yourself one fine time dialoguing with another well-known attendee here to show just how ridiculous my position was. (I was greatly tempted to do a 'ha ha ha I told you so' when it became clear that I was right but I resisted)

You were wrong on that one because your motive was to belittle rather than to read/consider/respond with intelligence. Having been through it once with you I think I am qualified to recognize that the same process is in operation here as regards FabioL.

IIRC, your problem was with a thread that I started that stated when there are two or more conflicting hypothesis the best we can say is, "I don't know". That was exactly the case at the time. When it was confirmed, I believe I stated you were right. If I didn't I so do now.

As far as my "motive", you don't know, and you can't know. I do try to inform with intelligence. If it doesn't meet your standards, I really don't care. What I do care about is your applying your thoughts about my posts as being fact when they are not.

Finally, given your history, you're in no position to criticize me or anyone else on their comportment on this forum. People who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones.
