Does the textbox have SelectOnEntry set to .t.? It's not the default behavior of a textbox when it is .F. so there might be code somewhere in the class hierarchy that is doing this.

Every container has it's own tab sequence. If you Edit the page and go to set the tabindex you can set it for the controls on the page.
