When I came to work this today I saw that the SQL server was stopped. I tried to restart it but noticed that the drive that had the tempdb file was missing!!! Upon checking with my sysadmin he is trying to format the disk but that will erase the file as well. How would I recreate the file when(if) the drive comes back on line? I know how to move an existing tempdb, would I follow a similiar plan of action?
