Wondering if anyone has had any problems with the latest version on WININET.DLL on Windows 2000. A couple of years ago, I downloaded an FTP class (PRG) from here I think, and it has worked great (written by Robert Abram). I use it at a client to dial the internet, download and upload some files via FTP, and then to disconnect from the internet. It has worked perfectly for 2 years, but now it won't dial the internet or disconnect. If the user manually connects to the internet, all the FTP transfers still work. However, this is a scheduled program to be run overnight when the user is not there. I noticed that the WININET.DLL is dated January 21, 2004 and likely was in a recent windows update - this leads me to believe that maybe a security 'enhancement' is now preventing my program from dialing the internet. Funny thing is XP with all patches shows the same version on this DLL and still happily dials the internet when asked by my program. In both cases (on XP and the 2000 workstation), the user has administrative rights. Anyone have any ideas on how I might get this working again??
