if you are truly splitting it into two tables -
why not get everything [all the memory variables, count > 255] you need on one pass, use different column field names across the two tables - and

INSERT INTO (OutputName1) FROM MEMVAR
INSERT INTO (OutputName2) FROM MEMVAR

as well ?


just a thought - it should reduce any reparsing necessary for the data collection for the 2nd table.
