Yep, the registry looks OK as far as the InternetExplorer.Application CLSID goes...
And yeah, I tried installing the latest IE 6.0 patch, then tried installing the whole thing. Second time it said I already had a higher version installed. If you can tell me how to completely nuke IE (which I assume is impossible considering Microsoft's idea of "innovation"), I could try a re-install. But I have no idea how to do that, and at this point it might even break more stuff.
I welcome any other ideas folks may have. This problem is thoroughly annoying.
