Thanks, Kevin. I have a feeling that ItemIDToIndex or IndexToItemID is the "elegant" solution, but I haven't be able to figure out how to incorporate it. I see that it's used in the kMoverObj's UpdateReorderedItems code. I'm going to step through that code until I understand what it's doing (could take a while but now I've got my stubborn up <s>) and try to use it instead of my ASCAN(). If I manage to get something working I'll let you know.
