Norton Anti-Virus slowed us down considerably. I use this code to open the project (should work with Windows NT/2000/XP):

Wait "Loading Project..." window nowait
Run /N7 net stop "Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect Service"	&& disable Norton Anti-Virus
Modify Project MyProject nowait 
Run /N7 net start "Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect Service"	&& enable Norton Anti-Virus
Wait clear

>Does anyone know if there has been any improvement in the speed of opening a project that is part of the VSS. Right now it takes 2-4 minutes to open the project. I don't open the project itself very often, but when I do, wow it's slow.
