Larry, I don't have a 'standard' program, but I modified a system for your "heads-down" data entry behaviour. The most important things the users asked for were:
1. Make sure your tab-order is EXACTLY as they enter the data.
2. Every button must have a HotKey caption, not a picture.
3. Every behaviour they want must have a button/field on the form. They can't get to toolbars without the mouse.
4. Add key-controlled links between pages of pageframes (I trapped for Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDn)
5. Have hot-keys for all menu choices so any form can be opened without the mouse.
I haven't heard from them for 6 months, now, so I assume they are happily entering invoices and printing reports!
