Hi,

I'm trying to install a copy of SQL Server (Developer Edition). After the main installation was complete I immediately attempted to instal SP3a and got an 'Error running script sp1_serv_uni.sql(1)' error. Only thing I can find on this is in MSDN which states this error is caused if the master database is moved from its original location (which was not the case) and that the solution is to install the latest service pack (which is what I was doing)...

I did specify another location for the databases in the initial install so, in case MS meant 'default' instead of 'original', I un-installed MSSQL and reinstalled using all the default settings. However SP3a installation still fails with the same error.

Any suggestions as to what to try next ?
