I have a table of customers that has a state field that the customers live in. I can only call these customers from 8am - 5pm in their specific time zone. I need to create a function that determines what time zone I am currently in and then determines what time it is in the customer time zone.

ie I'm in the Pacific Time Zone at 11am. I'm going to call a customer in the Eastern Time Zone so I need to know the current time in the Eastern Time Zone so I know if I can call them ot not.

I started out coding by states but I'd prefer it to be dynamic and to take into account Daylight Savings time.

Does anyone have code samples or suggestions on how I should approach this? I'm thinking there is a way to do this with API?
