Hi Fabio,
I found the problem. The class from which I was deleting columns was used in another class in which textboxes were added to the columns. Since I deleted a few columns the another class couldn't add the textboxes to the column anymore because the column did not exist anymore.
The bug however is that when dragging the class onto the another class the textboxes somehow were added (because my gridclass does not have textboxes in their columns).
I realize this might be by design, but this a real PITA because it is real difficult to figure out what has gone wrong and how to fix the problem.

Well I agree there are numerous problems in grids, however only a few could be addressed doing things low level. The one thing I do is replace the default headerclass with my own throuh filling in the class and classloc, but that is about it.
What do you generally do lowlevel ?
