Larry, if your users are really going to do 'keyboard only' work, then the buttons are superfluous. However, they'll find that when they're editing/updating that they WILL use the mouse to click on a particular field and then on a Save or Cancel button. Also, not everyone is completely keyboard oriented. The younger people, who learned Windows first, will assume that there are available mouse-links for every action.
