What do you mean the "SQL Manager"? Do you mean Query Analyzer or Enterprise Manager? How large is the table? Is the machine that you are running the query from the same or different than the SQL Server database machine? If different, are both on a local network or are you going over the internet? Any other detail you could provide would be helpful.
