Hi,
Set the files= to less than 255 see MSKB Article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;148643&Product=fox

It may be that you have to set the FCBS (File Control Blocks). It is done config.NT like FCBS=64,0 where 64=the number of files.

I am not sure but I think if you exceed to max settings they are set back to the system default and sometimes zero.

P.S. Any idea how many files the APP does open.

I put the config.nt file in the root of the application, on the c:, where I originally found it and where the PIF settings point to: system32, and everywhere else I thought the app may look if it didn't like the PIF Settings pointer. I changed all instances of the file to files=400, buffers=200. No luck
>I think your solution is the correct one, but for some reason no go. It does run in Fox for Window. Do you have any other solutions??
