IN similar cases, I would set the "page-length" to 5.5" (half the total length of 11"). However, I am not sure how you would handle the case that the receipt could be more than one page.

>I have a client who wishes to print a receipt on a perforated 8.5"x11" sheet of paper. The top half will be the customer's copy while the bottom half would have the identical information but with a signature line and maybe a couple other additional pieces.

>I've got the report laid out and it does the additional printing just fine for the bottom half but the problem is that it issues a page eject after the top half(8.5"x5.5" custom form page size that I've setup) prints and then prints the signature copy on the top of the next page.

>Is there any way to suppress the page eject between the two "pages"? I've thought about having two reports and then walking the orders file one by one printing the top half report with a NOPAGEEJECT command and then printing the bottom half normally which would then close the print job. This sounds to me like it would be quite cumbersome and slow. The other issue is that the receipt could possibly be more than one page, although not very often.

Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
