I should have mentioned - I looked at Sqlsp.log and it showed pretty much the output as listed by MS in KB308753. However I just looked at sp1_serv_uni.out and that shows it was cancelled by a floating point exception (which doesn't sound like a moved file problem ?)
BTW the main reason I want SP3 installed is to get rid of the random, but generous, smattering of floating point exceptions reported with the base line version.
