if you create or copy a file into the pocketpc my documents active synch will immediatly copy that file down to the handheld. from VFP i create a CSV file with the data that i need and copy that file into the pocketpc my documents folder and let active synch take over. from the momnet that i copy the file into the folder i would say that i takes about 5 seconds tops for that file to appear on the handheld.

>>We have developed a solution, not with c#, and use the active synch files option to get the data. the foxpro program looks at the folder that the files are transfered to and imports this information. there are also tools that link directly into the pocket pc that we found, but we found that they worked perfectly in ppc2002 but as soon as we upgraded to ppc2003 they stopped working, we are not sure if this was an active synch thing, this also upgraded to 3.7 from 3.5, the only thing that worked all the time was the files synch.

>>>I am creating a Pocket PC application using C#. The application is a Windows Forms application using XML files as the data source / storage. My question is, what is the best way to synchronise / transfer the files from a desktop VFP8 application to the Pocket PC and vice versa? The finished program will be distributed to many clients with little computer experience and needs to be set-up automatically using an installation program.

>>>After the user has placed the Pocket PC into the cradle I want them to press a button in the VFP8 application and synchronise the files.
