Yes her friend told her about the humidity. Thats why she avoided the summer.
We had similar conditions in Venice a couple of years ago and hated it (the weather that is not Venice)

Do you get a lot of mosquitoes.

>She picked a good time to come. Hopefully we will not see too much rain while she is here. We tend to get a lot of rain in March and April, but this year our rain totals are way down so far. Today it is supposed to be sunny and warmer - around 65-70 degrees farenheight (20-21 celcius I think). Tomorrow we will reach 80 degrees in my area and mid 70s in Raleigh/Charlotte. Good thing she did not wait until July or August to come here - I'm sure you've heard of our hot, sticky summers in the Carolinas. It can sometimes reach 36-37 degrees celcius and 90% humidity.

>>>As Renoir mentioned, it is really pretty mild here right now. It is typically in the 70s this time of year, but it has been cooler this week so far. We are in the low 60s and Charlotte is about the same. We are expected to have an overnight freeze though. It will still be in the 60s tomorrow and around 70 in my area (Sandhills). It is typically about 3 degrees warmer here than in Raleigh but Charlotte can go a couple of degrees warmer or cooler depending on if the fronts are coming out of the west or the east (it changes here all the time).
